Introduction

The ICC PIDA 1 Training is one of the training programmes developed by the ICC Institute of World Business Law. To be conducted in Hong Kong by ICC Hong Kong, in collaboration with the ICC, the 3-day training is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding and first-hand experience of ICC arbitration and international commercial arbitration more generally primarily from a counsel perspective, by working through an ICC arbitration case study with experienced arbitration practitioners. The course is conducted in English.

(Note: Participants will be required to have functional English proficiency. No interpretation will be provided.)


Recommended for participants interested in gaining an understanding of ICC arbitration and international commercial arbitration more generally, and how to conduct an international commercial arbitration (under ICC Rules), possessing:

    ·  Minimum 3 years' experience in the practice of law; or

    ·  Prior experience participating in arbitration proceedings as arbitrator, counsel, expert 

       or party representative is desirable

    ·  Ability to participate in English (spoken and written)


Faculty: Experienced Arbitrators and Arbitration Counsel from Hong Kong, the Mainland and internationally, including arbitrators, senior counsel, barristers, senior lawyers in international and national firms and ICC International Court of Arbitration Counsel.


Fee: HK$9,000 last-minute rate for registrations on or after 20 October 2025

        HK$8,100 early bird rate for registrations before 20 October 2025

        HK$7,650 special rate for members of ICC Hong Kong, other ICC National 

        Committees and Groups, and other supporting organisations
